Jesus Loves You

It’s One Or The Other, Friend.

I’ve realized that one of the reasons why Christianity is so popular is because some people see it as an “easy” religion—you just go to church and then you can pretty much do whatever you want as long as you repent on Sunday, right? Wrong. Matthew 6:24 says, “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” That means that if you don’t completely devote your life to Jesus, you’re not a Christian at all. You can’t hold on to the hand of the world and the hand of God at the same time. It’s one or the other, friend. If you say you’re a Christian and you go to church just because it’s easy, you’re wrong. Christianity is not an easy religion, and if it’s easy for you, then you need to get on your face and change it! You have to die inside everyday to truly be a Follower of Christ. You have to give away your dreams, your hopes, your whole life for the glory of The Lamb. But oh, the reward of living for God! At the end of this life, you will walk on streets of gold! You will live out the rest of your life in a place where there are no more tears, no more death, no more sorrow. But if you just live as a “half-way Christian” you won’t live in eternal glory, but eternal shame, pain, and torture. If you feel that you haven’t fully given your life to Jesus, then do it now, before it’s too late. This could be your last chance.

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me,for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. Isaiah 61:1

Waking up sunrise in my eyes*

God gave me some great songs last night. I am so thankful for the gift the Lord has given me of songwriting.

“Sing your praise to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and melodious song” Psalm 98:5
